SIGNATURE BREEDING
WSJ Dressage breeds with mares that strongly performed in studbook mare inspection tests and/or mare performance tests, out of dam lines built on well recognised stallions next to various significant offspring in the dam line. In addition, WSJ Dressage only selects the best licenced dressage stallions approved by the Dutch, German and Danish studbooks. Offspring bred by WSJ Dressage receive WSJ annotation in their name. In general the WSJ Dressage offspring become available for sale as a young horse.
WSJ DRESSAGE
WSJ Dressage breeds based on the assumption that a foal is ultimately the combination of the genes of two horses resulting in a foal built up with over 20.000 genes provided by both the mare and the stallion. Based on this concept the linear studbook descriptions are important in matching a stallion. As ultimately not everything can be captured in a model, the stallion selection will also be done by personal judgment and preference. Always focused on adding interesting and relevant bloodlines to the dressage sports and breeding.

HAPPY HORSES
WSJ Dressage highly values the wellbeing of the broodmares. The mares are turned out in the field on a daily basis during the summer. During the winter they are outside together in a sand paddock with hay. The horses have the entire day access to high quality forage inside and outside. The mares have dental care if needed and broodmares that are active in the dressage sport receive treatments by an osteopath as well.
